New Members are always welcome! Club meetings are on the Third Tuesday of each month at the clubrooms in Pioneer Park. Feel free to come along to a meeting and check out the benefits of belonging to Nelsons biggest and most active dive club!

You will get to meet new friends with similar interests, the Nelson Underwater Club has over 130 members who are interested in diving and meet every month at our clubrooms in Hastings street.

You will get to go new places, with over 130 members there are a lot of new dive sites to hear about and travel to. The club travels to exiting destinations like Fiordland, the Bay of Plenty, kaikoura and tropical islands like Vanuatu as well as interesting local destinations like Lake Rotoiti, Okiwi bay, Queen Charlotte Sounds, Pelorus sounds and D’Urville Island.

You will get to do new things, you will be able to participate in different activities to do with diving such as underwater bike racing, underwater photography, try new and different gear and even go ice diving!

The Nelson Underwater Club offers inexpensive annual memberships.

The NUC has hire BCD’s, Regulators, torches, underwater cameras and dive tanks for members.

The NUC produces a great magazine every month for its members with articles about past trips, upcoming trips as well as other news from around the world.

Members of the NUC can take advantage of subsidized dive trips.

Members can get discounted dive equipment, dive courses and First Aid courses through belonging to the NUC.

The NUC offers scholarships for advancing your dive training and reducing the cost to yourself.

You get a say at a national level about diving related issues through the NUC membership to New Zealand Underwater. The NUC has been heavily involved in the establishment of Marine Reserve, trying to keep Waikoropupu springs open to divers, etc.

The Nelson Underwater Club has a large membership which means you can network to find buisness and personal opportunities.
